Emmaus Road Reformed Church (RCUS) is led by a Pastor, Elders, and Deacons.

At Emmaus Road, God has given us a Pastor/Teacher to feed the flock of God by proclaiming the gospel of Jesus Christ, preach the Word for the edification of the congregation, administer the sacraments, and shepherd the flock. God has also given us Elders to shepherd and govern the church (1 Peter 5:1, Titus 1:5) and Deacons to serve the church (Acts 6:3-4). Our office bearers also help “to equip the saints for the work of ministry, for building up the body of Christ” (Ephesians 4:11-12). We serve because Jesus first served us (Mark 10:45).

“Pay careful attention to yourselves and to all the flock, in which the Holy Spirit has made you overseers, to care for the church of God, which he obtained with his own blood.” (Acts 20:28)

Meet Our Pastor

Rev. Ryan Kron, Pastor

PastorRyan-3567Pastor Kron grew up in a Christian home in White Bear Lake, Minnesota. He first learned about Reformed Theology in high school, watching R.C. Sproul videos from Ligonier Ministries. He graduated from Minnehaha Academy in Minneapolis in 1997 and then went to Wheaton College, where he majored in Bible and Theology. Ryan received his Master of Divinity degree from Westminster Seminary California in 2006. From 2006 to 2010, he served as an Associate Pastor at Cloverdale United Reformed Church (URCNA) in Boise, Idaho. In November 2010, he moved back to the Twin Cities and began the process of planting Emmaus Road Reformed Church.

Ryan and his wife Colleen have five boys and one girl. Isaiah is 13, Abram is 11, Thaddeus is 8, Sophie is 6, Oliver is 4, and Gabriel was born in March 2024. Gabriel has Down’s Syndrome, and he is teaching the family much about the kindness, patience, love, and compassion of Jesus. They are grateful for the Lord’s grace to each of their children (Psalm 121:8; 139:13-14).

As a family, they enjoy getting outdoors during all four seasons. Cross-country skiing is one of their favorite wintertime activities as a family. They also like to cheer for all the local Minnesota sports teams.

Pastor Kron says, “I continue to be amazed by the good news of Jesus, and I thank God for how He loves me in Christ. One of my favorite verses is 2 Corinthians 5:21, which says, 'For our sake he made him to be sin who knew no sin, so that in him we might become the righteousness of God.' In light of this profound truth, I thank God for the privilege and joy of serving as the Pastor of Emmaus Road Reformed Church. I love the flock of God at Emmaus Road, and I see how God is working to make us more like Christ as a church family (Romans 8:29). My prayer is that God will use me to help build His church in the Twin Cities to the glory of His Name.”

EMAIL PASTOR RYAN KRON

“We ask you, brothers, to respect those who labor among you and are over you in the Lord and admonish you, and to esteem them very highly in love because of their work. Be at peace among yourselves. And we urge you, brothers, admonish the idle, encourage the fainthearted, help the weak, be patient with them all. See that no one repays anyone evil for evil, but always seek to do good to one another and to everyone. Rejoice always, pray without ceasing, give thanks in all circumstances; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you.” (1 Thessalonians 5:12–18)
