What is the book of Galatians about?

You are invited to come and join us for worship at 10:30 AM this Sunday at Emmaus Road Reformed Church.  We would also love to have you join us for a potluck lunch immediately following the service!

This Sunday we will begin a new sermon series on the book of Galatians.  As Phil Ryken says, the Galatians were trying to base their standing with God on their spiritual performance, and in the process they were denying the gospel.  They needed to hear again the liberating message that we are justified not by observing the law but by faith in Jesus Christ.  As the church today, we need to embrace this same message.  Why?  Because we are legalists by nature, and each Lord’s Day we need to hear afresh the good news of the gospel.

Come to Emmaus Road Reformed Church this Lord’s Day and be encouraged in the good news “that the Lord Jesus Christ gave himself for our sins to deliver us from the present evil age, according to the will of our God and Father, to whom be the glory forever and ever” (Galatians 1:3-5).
